The Divine Epic is a resource website to go along with a sermon series for the Biltmore church of Christ, in Asheville, NC. Each week we are moving through the Bible, from Genesis through today, and looking at the major stories, passages, and teachings found in the Bible. But, this is not a normal Bible study focusing on what typically gets taught in churches, which is a watered down, kid friendly version. Instead, we are examining the text at face value, looking at what it really says, and learning what God is really telling us, and what He wants us to know.
The question is, do you really believe your Bible? Or, do you make excuses for it? Do you believe what it says, or do you find ways to dismiss the difficult and challenging stories and passages? This website is a deep dive into the greatest story ever told, with all it’s weirdness. It’s a study of what is really happening in our world, as told to us by the Creator of this universe.
